What do I do when things don't go to plan?
Sometimes pregnancy, IVF, adoption, or surrogacy do not go to plan. This article details what to do in this case.
Sometimes pregnancy, IVF, adoption, or surrogacy do not go to plan. Expectant mothers may be unwell, sometimes hospitalised. Sadly, some families will lose their child before they are able to bring them home. Any situation of sickness and loss will be difficult for all involved. You should inform your leader or employer so they can support you.
Your leader will be able to inform you of any additional resources available to support you and your family at this time, including flexible work options or other leave entitlements and may also include access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
