Antenatal classes are designed to help you focus on your pregnancy and forthcoming labour and birth, it is also a time to plan and discuss your birthing strategy. The content of classes may vary, but should include some of the following:

When should I book my classes?

It's a good move to book your antenatal classes early because they can fill up quickly; by your 20th week of pregnancy is a good guide, even if you won’t attend classes until later in your pregnancy. Pregnancy exercise classes can be started as soon as you discover you are pregnant, but get the all-clear from your caregiver before enrolling.
